1.The Serpent's Lair

Trapped on a goa'uld attack ship headed for Earth, SG-1 prepares to destroy the ship, but their plans are stalled when a second ship appears. As Earth braces for an attack, SG-1 joins forces with Master Bra'tac, who is also on board, and plants explosives to destroy both ships and save Earth. In the ensuing battle, Daniel is badly injured and makes his way to the Stargate as the rest of the team barely escapes in death gliders before the ships explode. Earth is safe, but a space rescue from their suicide mission seems unlikely, until the shuttle Endeavor appears on the horizon.

2. In The Line Of Duty

The planet Nasya is under Goa'uld attack, and SG-1 is on a rescue mission. During the rescue, Carter's body is taken over by a Goa'uld symbiote, and when the team realizes what has happened, Carter is confined to a cell while O'Neill must bargain for Carter's life. The Goa'uld is Jolinar of Malkshur, one of the Tok'ra, a resistance group opposed to the System Lords. But Jolinar is also the target of the Ashrak, a skilled Goa'uld assassin. The Ashrak nearly succeeds in his mission, and Jolinar, too weak to heal itself, gives up it's life to save Carter's.

3. Prisoners

On a routine mission, SG-1 unwittingly aids a fleeing criminal and is condemned to life imprisonment on the penal world Hadante. Starngely, the most powerful person on Hadante is Linea, a gentle and educated woman with an unusual influence over the violent inmates. SG-1 strikes a deal with Linea, to help her escape in exchange for using her cold fusion technology to power the Stargate. It is only after their escape that SG-1 learns the true story behind Linea. Accused of causing global plagues, she has become to be known as "The Destroyer of Worlds". And SG-1 has just set her free.

4. The Gamekeeper

SG-1 visits P7J-989, a beautiful garden world, and finds people sleeping in strange metalic chambers. When they too are caught in the chambers, they awaken to find themselves reliving pivotal and painful events in their lives in the hope of changing the outcome. A shadowy figure, the Keeper, explains that they are part of an elaborate game of virtual reality being played for the residents in the chambers. He is lying when he says that his planet is uninhabitable, but SG-1 must first escape from their virtual world in order to convince the residents to leave their own chambers.

5. Need

While exploring planet P3R-636, Daniel encounters Princess Shyla, the melancholy daughter of King Pyrus. He prevents her suicide attempt, but in doing so, SG-1 is captured as spies and forced to work as slaves in the naquadah mines. When Daniel is injured, Shyla nurses him back to health with the sarcophagus. She sees him as her "destiny", and Daniel hopes to use his favoured position to negotiate the release of his team. But already he is becoming dependent on the sarcophagus, and when their release does come, Daniel faces an even greater battle at home to overcome his addiction.

6. Thor's Chariot

Since Thor's Hammer was destroyed, Cimmeria has been vulnerable to the Goa'uld, and now it is under attack by the ruthless System lord Heru'ur. SG-1 offers assistance, but they are no match for the Jaffa armies. Seeking help, Carter, Daniel and Gairwyn go in search of the legendary Hall of Thor's Might, but instead of weapons, they find a series of tests they must pass. Help comes in an unexpected form when they solve the riddle of the runes, and for the first time they meet face to face with the Supreme Commander of the Asgard fleet, Thor himself.

7. Message In A Bottle

On the now dead planet P5C-353, SG-1 finds a small orb with an amazing power source. They bring it back to Earth for study, but the device activates, anchoring itself in the facility with metal spikes, one of which pierces O'Neill's shoulder, pinning him to the wall. Worse, a microscopic organism is infected not only O'Neill but also the facility itself. As the base's self-destruct mechanism counts down, the organisms begin to communicate through O'Neill. Having slept for millennia, they seek only a living world, and a comprimise with Earth so that both may survive.

8. Family

Bra'tac arrives at SGC with disturbing news. Apophis has survived and kidnapped Teal'c's son Rya'c. SG-1 returns to Chulak to rescue Rya'c, but there they find that much has changed. Teal'c's wife, Drey'auc, has married his old friend Fro'tak, and Rya'c, now brainwashed, has denounced his father as a traitor. Attempts to a rescue are further complicated by Fro'tak's betrayal, and suspicion that Rya'c may be part of an elaborate trap. In fact, Rya'c is hiding a powerful cirus that could destroy Earth. But even after averting this crisis, Rya'c's brainwashing must still be reversed.

9. Secrets

O'Neill and Carter are in Washington to receive medals for bravery. There Carter is reunited with her father, General Jacob Carter, who is dying of cancer, and O'Neill encounters a reporter who plans to reveal inside information about the Stargate Program. Meanwhile, Daniel returns to Abydos with Teal'c as he had promised, and is stunned to find Sha're there, pregnant with the child of Apophis but apparently not under the influence of the Goa'uld. Apophis' enemy, Heru'ur, arrives seeking the child as Sha're gives birth. But Heru'ur is turned away and the child safely hidden on Abydos. Amaunet, the Goa'uld within Sha're, reawakens and returns with her to Apophis.

10. Bane

The cities of BPG-3Q1 are deserted except for giant insects that attack SG-1 and sting Teal'c. Back on Earth, Teal'c begins a horrifying metamorphosis as the insect venom begins transforming his DNA into his own. Colonel Maybourne arrives to take custody of Teal'c, seeing the potentional for biological weapons in the venom. However, Teal'c escapes and, befriended by a young Ally, hides out on the streets of the city. Meanwhile the rest of SG-1 returns to the planet to retreive another insect for study as they frantically work to find an antidote and to fine Teal'c before Maybourne does.

11. The Tok'ra (Part 1)

Capatin Carter has vivid dreams and memories as seen through the eyes of Jolinar, the Tok'ra who had briefly inhabited her body. Despite the progression of her father's cancer, Carter joins the mission to P34-353J to seek out the Tok'ra. There SG-1 meets the Tok'ra leaders, including Martouf, who had been Jolinar's mate, and they learn much about the ways of the resistance group. But trust is fragile, and the Tok'ra are unwilling to form an alliance. In fact, when word arrives that Jacob Carter's condition is critical, the Tok'ra refuse to permit SG-1 to return home.

12. The Tok'ra (Part 2)

The Tok'ra see little advantage in an alliance with Earth. What they need most are hosts. However, Carter's Father, General Jacob Carter, is dying of cancer, and he is willing to act as a host for Selmak, a Tok'ra leader who is dying, in order to save both his life and Selmak's. As he is brought to the planet, the Goa'uld attack the base. O'Neill helps to identify Cordesh as the Goa'uld spy who tipped off the enemy, but the Tok'ra must complete the blending of Jacob and Selmak and evacuate the base before they are destroyed by the Goa'uld.

13. Spirits

SG-11 has not returned from PXY-887, where a valuable new element, trinium, has been discovered. O'Neill is injured and Captain Carter is left to lead SG-1 to the planet to investigate. There they meet Tonane, a plainspoken Coast Salish Indian who explains that Xe'ls the raven and T'akaya the wolf are the "spirits" who protect their land and people. When the teams return to Earth with Tonane, negotiations for a mining treaty break down. Angered, the spirits reveal themselves as shape-shifting aliens who will destroy the SGC for it's deception, until O'Neill can convince them to reconsider.

14. Touchstone

The planet Madrona depends on the Touchstone to control it's weather. But when the device is stolen, the inhabitants claim that the SGC is responsible. An elaborate investigation reveals that Colonel Maybourne of the NID is involved in high-level orders to reactivate the second Earth Stargate, and that top-secret missions through the gate are responsible for the theft. SG-1 is able to recover the device in time to save Madrona from destruction, but the mysterious agenda of the NID and the whereabouts of the agents who escaped through the second gate before it was resealed, remain unknown.

15. The Fifth Race

After O'Neill peers inside an ancient viewer on P3R-272, he begins speaking an alien language and using concepts of complex science and mathematics. Daniel is convinced that the alien device contained the knowledge of the Ancients, the builders of the Stargates, which it downloaded into O'Neill's brain. Unable to control the changes that are happening to him, O'Neill's subconscious leads him to build a peculiar device that powers the Stargate to a far distant destination where he can seek help. There he meets the Asgard, who speak of the four great races, and of Earth - the fifth race.

16. A Matter Of Time

While attempting to rescue SG-10 from a black hole on P3W-451, the Stargate begins to draw power from the black hole itself and cannot be shut down. As the intense gravity field begins warping the space/time continuum and threatens to swallow the entire facility, the Pentagon send O'Neill's former comrade, Colonel Cromwell, to investigate. Cromwell is tormented by guilt for deserting O'Neill on an earlier mission. As time nearly stands still, Cromwell volenteers to stay behind with O'Neill to save Earth, but he is drawn through the wormhole before an explosion can break the connection and close the gate.

17. Holiday

P3W-924 is home to Ma'chello, an eccentric old man, and his unique inventions. One invention is a body-swapping device that is activated on an unsuspecting Daniel. Daniel finds himself in the body of a dying old man while Ma'chello, in Daniel's body, experiences Earth for the first time. O'Neill and Teal'c also fall victim to the device as their bodies are switched. When Ma'chello is finally returned to the SGC, he shows no remorse and insists the device is irreversible. SG-1 must convince him to cooperate in an elaborate reversal, even though his own fragile body won't survive.

18. Serpent's Song

On PB5-926, the SG-1 team finds their sworn enemy, Apophis, fleeing Goa'uld death gliders. He has been tortured and is slowly dying, and he is granted sanctuary on Earth in return for information. But his information is alarming. Apophis is being pursued by an ancient and powerful Goa'uld named Sokar, who will destroy all of Earth to find him. The team's Tok'ra ally, Martouf, warns that Apophis must be returned. As Sokar attacks through the gate, Apophis dies of his injuries, and his body is returned to Sokar. But Sokar has a sarcophagus that can revive the dead.

19. One False Step

An SGC probe crashes into a large planet on PJ2-445. When SG-1 goes to retreive it, they meet the planet's inhabitants, gentle, curious, and simple beings, human in form, and silent except for an entrancing song. Shortly after the team's arrival, however, the aliens begin falling ill, and soon a global plague is threatened. Even SG-1 begins to feel ill, but the cause reamins a mystery until a video recording reveals the presence of inaudiable sound waves. These sounds, produced by the plant life, are necessary for the aliens' survival, and SG-1 must restore the symbolic balance they unwittingly upset.

20. Show and Tell

A young boy enters through the Stargate with a warning for SGC. The boy, Charlie, explains that his home planet, Reetalia, was destroyed by the Goa'uld, and now Reetou rebels plan to destroy all humans to eliminate possible hosts. Further, he adds that he was genetically engineered to deliver his warning because the Reetou are invisible, and that "Mother" is with him. Carter's father, Jacob, now a Tok'ra ambassador, verifies the boy's story, but already Reetou rebels have infiltrated the facility. In a battle for control of the base, SGC is victorious, but the rebel threat remains.

21. 1969

General Hammond gives Carter a note before SG-1 new mission, but a solar flare propels the team back in time to 1969, into a top-secret military facility. There they encounter a young Lieutenant Hammond, who recognizes his writing in the note, and helps them to escape. Hitchhiking across country, SG-1 seeks out Catherine Langford, hoping to find the Stargate. Carter realizes that Hammond's note contains the key - the time of the next solar flare that will return them to their own time. But a slight miscalculation gives the team a glimpse of the future before returning them home.

22. Out Of Mind

O'Neill is awakened from a cryogenic suspension and finds himself in an SGC of the future. He is told that he has been frozen for 79 years, and that everyone he knows is gone. However, the war with the Goa'uld continues, and the SGC needs his knowledge to find allies capable of defeating the Goa'uld. When O'Neill's suspicions are aroused, he escapes and discovers that the base is really as replica created by the Goa'uld, and that Carter and Daniel are also there. It is Hathor who has arranged the deception, and now she plans to implant one of the team with a Goa'uld.
